Obituary for C. Corinne Duggan

C. Corinne  Duggan
C. Corinne Duggan, 89, beloved wife of Gordon A. Duggan Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday Dec. 9, 2017 at home with her loving family by her side. Corinne was born May 2, 1928 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, daughter of the late Frank J. and Belinda M. (Patravita) Mercik. Corinne graduated from Enfield High School, was a communicant of St. Martha’s Church and enjoyed cooking with and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides her loving husband of over 68 years, Corinne is survived by her four children: Mark Duggan, his wife Joan, Gordon A. Duggan Jr., his wife Darlene, Belinda Maria Duggan and Francis Duggan, his wife Yazmina, all of Enfield: eight grandchildren, Sandra Duggan her partner Sabrina Ferris, Leah Cristi her husband Tony, Ryan Duggan his wife Shaiyan, Jordyn Duggan, Kaleigh Duggan, 2nd Lt. Gordon A. Duggan III, Nicole and Joe Denapoli: two great granddaughters Skylar Corinne Cristi and Kamryn Rose Cristi: a brother Raymond Mercik of Enfield, two sisters Eileen Longhi of Granby and Maureen Eisen of Virginia. Corinne’s family would like to thank the nurses, caregivers and staff of the Home and Hospice Community and Trinity Health Care Network for their special care. Also a special thank you to Dean Saracino and Agawam Medical Supply’s for tending to mom’s health care needs through the years.
Corinne’s family will be receiving relatives and friends on Tuesday Dec. 12th from 4-7pm in the Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Rd., Enfield. Funeral services will be Wednesday Dec. 13th at 9am at the funeral home with a 10am funeral service. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery King St., Enfield. Memorial contributions can be made in Corinne’s memory to the Toy for Joy, Enfield Police Department, 293 Elm St., Enfield, CT 06082 or www.toysforjoy.org
