Joseph E. Claffey, 91, of Vernon, entered into eternal peace Tuesday March 20, 2018. Born December 20, 1926 in New Britain, CT he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Louis (Blankburg) Claffey. A veteran of the United States Army, he served his country honorably in both WWII and the Korean War. Joseph was a fan of both the New York Giants and Yankees. He is survived by his sister Lois Plumley of CA and 5 nieces, a nephew, 5 great-nieces and 8-great nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his sister Marie Kenzior and a nephew.
