Obituary for Melvin Adelberg
Melvin Adelberg, 90, of Enfield, passed away on Saturday March 24, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Susan (Gallow) Adelberg. Melvin was born on June 25, 1927 in Forty Fort, PA, to the late Samuel and May (Golden) Adelberg and had resided in Enfield for the past 55 years. He served his country proudly with the U.S. Army during WW II and Korean Wars. Prior to retiring Melvin was employed with the Federal Dept. of Agriculture for 20 years.
In addition to his wife Susan, he is also survived by his children; Marc & Courtney Adelberg of Higganum, CT and LTC Michael and Kristina Adelberg of Carlisle, PA, his five beloved grandchildren; Isaac Wm. Adelberg, Ben Adelberg, Jasmine Adelberg, Sydney Adelberg, and Riley Adelberg, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday March 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Agawam, MA. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, 11921 Rockville Pike Ste. 300 Rockville, MD 20852.
