Condolence From: Lawrence Machabee
Condolence: I only knew William as “Uncle Billy”. I was blessed in every sense in that he was the best loved uncle anyone could have. My fondest memories was visiting him and sharing with him my U.S. Marine Corps experiences…of course with a bit of USAF rivalry. We had the pleasure of playing golf together and he inspired me to try to be as good as he was at “tapping it in” on the putting green. Sonia and I also very much enjoy visiting him and Aunt Maria, both he and Maria made a wonderful couple together. When I first introduced Sonia to them it was a chance meeting at the new Agawam Cineplex, they were in line ahead of us getting their movie tickets. Sonia and I just started dating and it was Maria who said to me that Sonia “was a keeper”- I am glad I followed her advice. So many wonderful memories of Uncle Billy and his family. May he rest in peace.
