Obituary for Beverly A. Croteau (Knarich)
Beverly A. (Knarich) Croteau, 77, of Enfield, entered into Eternal Rest, on Wednesday July 4, 2018 in the comfort of her home, with loved ones at her side. Beverly was the beloved wife of 56 years to Robert Croteau. She was born on August 25, 1940 in Nyack, New York to the late Franklin “Bob” and Frances (Curry) Knarich. She was a graduate of Clarkstown H.S. South, and resided in West Nyack, NY before coming to Enfield 57 years ago. Prior to retiring Beverly was employed with Dexter/Ahlstrom Non Wovens, LLC Windsor Locks for 16 years. She was active at the Enfield Senior Center, Healthtrax Senior Sneakers and former Enfield Jaycees Wives. Beverly had a passion for camping, a NASCAR fan, gardening, keeping Bob busy and watching her grandkids play baseball. She was a member of Holy Family Church, Enfield.
In addition to her husband, Robert she is also survived by her two sons; Brian Croteau & wife Emilia of Simsbury and Christopher Croteau & wife Karen of W. Springfield, MA, her three beloved grandchildren; Jacob & Collin Croteau and Nicky Parent. As well as a sister Pam Vella & husband Ray of MI and a brother Gil Knarich & wife Susan of VA, along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Bob & Fran Knarich, she was predeceased by her in-laws, William “Dutchy” & Edna Croteau.
Beverly’s family will receive relatives and friends during calling hours on Monday July 9, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, Enfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday July 10, 2018 in Holy Family Church 23 Simon Rd. Enfield (Please meet at church). Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Patrick’s King St. Cemetery, Enfield. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to the American Cancer Society CT, 825 Brook St. I91 Tech Circle Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
