Obituary for Eudor Fernand Loubier

Eudor Fernand  Loubier
Eudor (Fern) Loubier passed away Friday, July 13,2018 at the age of 92. He was married to Shirley (Clukey) Loubier, wife of 64 years who passed away in 2015. Fern is survived by his 4 children, 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren: Surviving him are his sons: Robert (Sue) of Somers, John (Carol) of Salem CT, his daughters: Laurie (Ken) Maguire of Ellington, Barbara Wawruck of San Antonio TX. Grandchildren: Doug Loubier (Shawna), Elizabeth Loubier, Pam (Richard) Petoskey, Kady Graczewski (Steve) and RJ Loubier, John Loubier and Kathleen Loubier, Kelly Maguire and Frank Maguire (Cambria), Shirley Wawruck and Nicholas Wawruck. Great Grandchildren: Douglas, Josh, Natalie, James, David, Michael and Caitlyn. He is also survived by Brother Lucien (Anita) of Winslow ME. He was predeceased by his parents Adelard and Virginie Loubier, siblings, Eugene (Verna) Loubier Winslow ME, Gerry (Theresa) of Palm Beach FL, Lee (Gloria) of CA, Marguerite Vigue (Larry) of Waterville Me, Judy Gandy, Hartford CT, John Paul (Theresa) of Enfield CT and Larry (Betty) Winslow ME, Delores Vigue, Winslow ME and Lauretta Loubier. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. He leaves behind special cousins, Victor Mathieu of Hartford CT and Richard Poulin of Beauceville Canada.
Fern was born in Beauceville Canada and moved to Waterville Maine as a child where he met and married Shirley in 1948. They raised their children in Waterville ME and Enfield CT. After retirement he spent time in Fort Myers FL and Ellington CT.
Fern was a Navy Veteran who served in WWII. He was a builder and retired from Local 43 Carpenters Union. He enjoyed time spent with his family and enjoyed going out to his Saturday breakfasts with his son Bob. He loved the time he spent with his cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our Family would like to extend sincere thanks to Evergreen Healthcare Center and Athena Hospice for their Kindness and exceptional care they provided to our father.
Burial will be Friday, Aug 17, 2018 at 12:00 pm at the Central Maine Veterans’ Cemetery-Civic Drive (143 Blue Star Ave.) Augusta, ME. A Mass will be held at Notre Dame Church 112 Silver Street Waterville, ME at 10:00 a.m. prior to the burial services. In Memory Donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans P.O. Box 14301 Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301
