Condolences

Condolence From: Cheryl Canty Cawley
Condolence: My childhood is full of memories of Auntie Barbara. Most prominent was her sense of humor and her ability to make me laugh at everything she said. My mother and I both adored listening to her stories and then discussing them later for another laugh. When I was little, she always arrived with doughnuts, toys, and bags of clothes that my cousin had outgrown. A visit from her was like a visit from Santa.

I still have so many crafts that she made both me and my mother; Christmas decorations, afghans and baby blankets to name a few. I will treasure them for always.

My memories of being very small and visiting 87 Till St. are very precious to me. I remember learning to swim in the pool, watching Bobby restore bikes (he restored one for me that my mother bought at a police auction), the bunny hutch in the backyard, playing with all the cousins and all the toys in the basement, etc.

Losing people as we age is part of life, and a sad part. But Auntie Barbara (as well as Uncle Bob) will always live in my heart. I have nothing but good memories of them. My condolences and sympathy to Bobby & Debbie and their family, and Priscilla. Love to all.
