Enfield, CT - Salvatore L. Stanio, was born to Fred and Raffie (DeRosa) Stanio in New Haven, CT. He passed away on September 2, 2018 at Mid State Medical Center in Meriden, CT. He was predeceased by Fred Stanio, Donald Stanio, Arnold Stanio, and Terry Massaro. He is survived by a brother, Raymond Stanio of Enfield, CT, and a sister, Phyllis Phillips of Clemson, SC. He attended schools in New Haven, and graduated from Boardman Trade School in New Haven. He worked at various machine shops throughout Connecticut. He enjoyed traveling, boating and crabbing. He also served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a resident of Meriden, CT during the final years of his life. Calling hours will be Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018 from 11am - 12:30pm at Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, with a Memorial Service at 12:30pm. Burial with military honors will be in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, CT with a graveside service at 2pm.
