Obituary for Humbert "Bert" Charles Trapanese

ENFIELD, CT - Humbert C. “Bert” Trapanese, 92, entered into eternal rest at home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.  Born in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, son of the late Charles and Jenny (Todaro) Trapanese, he was a lifelong resident.  Bert worked as a tailor in Thompsonville for many years and was also employed with Kaman Aircraft and General Electric.  He was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church.  He was the widow of Norma Rose (King) Trapanese to whom he was married for forty-two years and who was his soul mate to eternity.  He leaves two daughters, Cindy and her husband Joe Wojtkowiak of Old Saybrook, Linda Trapanese of Cromwell, two sons, Charles Trapanese of Enfield, David Trapanese of Burlington, CT, 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, a sister, Eleanor Chamberlain of Windsor Locks, a sister-in-law, Henrietta Trapanese of Enfield, and many  nieces and nephews.    He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Trapanese, Florence Trapanese, Sam and his wife Nancy Trapanese, Charlie Trapanese, Bill Trapanese, a brother-in-law, Rudolph Chamberlain, and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Ted Bidwell. Bert’s family would like to offer a special thanks to Eva, Erica and Shobina, the care takers that treated our dad like their own.  Calling hours are Sunday from 2-5pm at the Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, CT.  Friends are asked to meet directly at St. Patrick’s Church, 64 Pearl Street, Enfield on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 11am for a Funeral Mass. The burial will be in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery.  The family welcomes flowers, but if you prefer, donations may be made in Bert’s memory to the Connecticut Humane Society.
