The many Rambler games rain or shine you kept that concession stand serving good food. Hot chili candied apples from Uncle Bob's. Cheer leaders doing such a great job. The banquet you bought boutonaires for the head table. You and me rolling in the stands at an Enfield high football game as my dog on a leash held by Tom at the edge of the field was peeing on a guys leg all oblivious to it.

You came through to take care of my grandson Ryan as baby when my daughter was left as a single parent you had his first birthday at your warm and welcoming house . The tears we shared over our heartaches with our kids hurts etc. The many talks over. an endless cup of coffee. Our memories are endless. You a great lunch aide at Eli Whitney school always giving lovingly unselfishly to the kids all your life. Rita you were one great person and your smile was infectious. Love. My Auntie Rita's laugh was like none other. It started as a giggle, then her laugh...oh how I can hear her laugh. You might just be listening in on the Aunt and Uncle's conversation while they had a cup of tea and/or coffee in the kitchen, then you'd hear Auntie Rita start to giggle - then laugh! And how that laugh spread. You could not help it. Her laugh was like being tickled...you laughed too! No idea why or at what...but you couldn't help it. You smiled, then chuckled then YOU were laughing because she lit up when she laughed. That smile...her face bright...she glowed when she laughed, and you did too, just the joy of hearing her. Because no one made you laugh like she did.

When in the Trailblazers or Centurions Drum Corp. it was Auntie Rita's face and smile you saw coming off the competition field. It was her who during a 5 mile parade put rubbing alcohol on the back of your neck to cool you off from a hot summer parade. It was Auntie Rita and Uncle Chic who made a lonely child feel like a million! She and Uncle Chic cheered you on and you never felt so proud to see them and hear them. I know she is with her loved ones. I'm sure Uncle Chic met her, leaning on his Indian Motorcycle saying: "Ri (Ree) let's go for a ride." Memories like this stay with you forever! Love, Beverly

i remember clearly the early years of the Rambler football program early 70's , Chick and Rita would do anything to support the program to insure that their boys would have the opportunity to participate . Rita was the boss of the concession stand, always ready with a smile for everyone and you better stay out of her kitchen. Great memories of a lovely lady

We went to grants department store to have our boys picture's taken,when we where done we went to the car and it was gone. The police came and put all of us in the back seat and drove us thru the streets and we found the car nothing missing so we just got in the car and drove home just a little adventure

Each year, hosting Christmas, I would cook up a ham for the DeFreitas family...and each year, was obligated to wrap up the ham bone for Rita to make homemade pea soup. I never got a taste of that soup, but am sure that she shared it with much love with her tremendous family!

When it would rain the blue car had a mind of its own. When we would turn on the radio the wipers would come on . When we would hit a bump the glove comp would open funny car we would laugh.
