Memorial Day Parade - South Bend, IN
My vivid memory of Aunt Rosie , as we knew her, was every Memorial Day Parade on the West Side of South Bend that she attended, she would meet my sister, Helen, and her brother, Vince at my mom's house on Ford Street for a prime spot for the parade. She and Vince would stand on the sidewalk near the street and when the service veterans went by, they would stand with the military salute until all the military branches passed by. And then she would have a big smile on her face, always hugged my mom who is now 92 years old. She was a wonderful person. May she be safe in heaven and her family graced with many cherished memories.
