Josephine (Barone) Spazzarini, 97, of Enfield, CT, beloved wife of the late John Spazzarini, entered into eternal life on September 3, 2018 in St. Francis Hospital. She was born on April 21, 1921 in the Thompsonville section of Enfield, and was the daughter of the late Cologero and Angelina (Brancaro) Barone and a lifelong resident of Enfield. Josephine retired from Choice Vend. She is survived by a daughter, Joan Rutherford and her husband George of Texas, a son, John Spazzarini of Enfield, four grandchildren, Susan (Rutherford) Crumpley and Christine Parker and her husband, Gregg of Texas, Steven Spazzarini and Richard Spazzarini and his wife, Kelly of Suffield, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Ann Rodrique and her husband, Ray of Windsor Locks, and a brother, John Barone of Cromwell. She also leaves a special friend of the family, Chuck Stagnitti of Suffield. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marion Drago, Angelina Tyskewicz, and her brothers, Charles Barone, Sam Barone and Joseph Barone. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. The family would like to offer a special thank you to her homemakers, Ann Haines and Linda Williams, and a special thanks to the Suffield House staff. The funeral will be Friday at 10am at the Browne Memorial Chapels, 43 Shaker Road followed by a prayer service at the funeral home at 11am. The burial will take place in St. Patrick’s King Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday from 6-8pm.
